Why are we only supporting girls?

Only 41% of girls in 9th standard grade finish their education compared to 59% of boys of the same age. The project aims to reduce this inequality with the gift of a cycle to transport girls to school.

How long does the project last?

The International Olympic Committee is seed funding Ek Beti Ek Cycle for four years. After four years we intend to scale and expand the project from Gujarat state into other parts of India.

How does the project work?

The girls are loaned a bike for as long as they stay in education. Upon completion of their studies, the bike is returned to the school and re-loaned to another pupil.
